The Model 5500CAD is a hybrid cold aisle diffuser designed for precise airflow control in HVAC systems. This innovative unit combines the features of Metalaire's popular 5500 louver face diffuser with a central cube core damper, offering unparalleled flexibility in directing air flow. This unique design allows for seamless transitions between fully horizontal and completely vertical throw, or any combination in between, making it ideal for applications requiring customized air distribution.

Featuring a durable aluminum construction, the 5500CAD boasts a 9" x 9" central cube core secondary supply area with a 1/2" x 1/2" x 1/2" cell configuration. A standard steel opposed blade damper (OBD) within the cube core ensures effortless adjustment of air flow patterns. Further enhancing its adaptability, the 5500CAD comes standard with Metalaire's Air Pattern Deflectors (APD), allowing for comprehensive manual field adjustment of throw patterns to suit specific site requirements. Available in both Lay-in T-Bar (5500CAD-6) and V-Beveled Drop Surface (5500CAD-2) configurations, the 5500CAD also offers optional insulated and un-insulated plenum boxes for added versatility. The standard finish is Metalaire White (01), with custom color options such as mill finish, satin silver, and black available upon request.
